Matthews appeared to roll his ankle with 8:27 left in the second quarter and he did not return. The extent of the injury was not immediately known. The three-year NBA veteran was averaging 15 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists going into the game.
Matthews scored 23 in a 112-102 loss to Utah on Monday night.

Matthews hurt his leg and ankle, along with his left elbow, just before the All-Star break. But he's playing - and praying - through the pain, hoping to help push Portland into the playoffs. The Blazers need their affable shooting guard down the final stretch. He is averaging 15 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 35 minutes each game.
Matthews led the Blazers with 24 points in a 92-86 victory over the Celtics on Sunday.
