Butler scored 18 of his 22 points in the third quarter, and the Los Angeles Clippers routed the Portland Trail Blazers 93-77 on Tuesday night for their sixth straight victory.

Bother by a sore knee, Butler totaled two points in the previous two games.

Butler is out for the second half of Saturday night's game with the Memphis Grizzlies with a sore right knee.

Butler played only 9 minutes, 2 seconds of the first half. He missed both shots he attempted and had one rebound with two steals. The Clippers came into the game trailing Memphis by a game for home-court advantage in the playoffs with two games remaining after Saturday night. Butler averages 10.4 points per game for Los Angeles.

It's uncertain when he'll return.

Butler remains out because of a lower back injury.

Butler was lost to the injury in the third quarter on Sunday in a 102-88 victory over the New York Knicks.

Butler had 12 points in Thursday's 90-77 win at Minnesota after X-rays on his injured foot came back negative.

Fantasy owners should continue to start Butler with confidence going forward.

Butler had 29 points and went 6 of 6 from 3-point range as the Los Angeles Clippers closed out an unbeaten December with a 17th consecutive win Sunday night, 107-96 over Utah.

Butler, now averaging 10.1 points, has double-digit scoring performances in three straight games, one shy of matching his longest streak this season.

Butler had 33 points and six rebounds in Monday's 105-98 loss to the Hornets.

Butler's last 30-point game was Dec. 30, 2010, against San Antonio.

Butler will miss the Los Angeles Clippers' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder because of a strained right shoulder.

Coach Vinny Del Negro said before the game that Matt Barnes will start in place of Butler, who was hurt in Los Angeles' 92-87 victory at San Antonio on Monday night. Butler is considered day-to-day.
