Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce and Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy were fined by the NBA on Saturday for separate incidents.

Pierce was fined $15,000 US for throwing an object into the stands during the Celtics' game in Indiana on Tuesday. Van Gundy was fined $35,000 US for his public comments about the officiating following the Magic's 112-103 victory over the New York Knicks on Thursday.

Pierce's incident occurred with 8:02 remaining in the first quarter of Boston’s 95-83 win over the Pacers.

He led all players in the game, scoring 21 points and seven assists.
