Canada sweeps Belgium in 2-game series
Kelly Olynyk scored 16 points and Canada completed a two-game sweep of Belgium with a 74-68 win at the Jack Donohue International Classic basketball tournament.
Olynyk, from Kamloops, B.C., added seven rebounds while shooting 60 per cent from the floor.
Carl English of St. John's, N.L. had 11 points Andy Rautins of the New York Knicks added 10 points for Canada, while Miami Heat centre Joel Anthony had a game-high three blocks.
Axel Hervelle led Belgium, with 15 points and six rebounds.
On Saturday, Canada defeated Belgium 79-74 in Toronto. Rautins led Canada with 26 points in that game.
After a three-game exhibition series with Brazil next week, Canada will head to Argentina to compete in the 2011 FIBA Americas Olympic qualifying tournament, beginning Aug. 31.
