The Little Mountain Mountaineers of British Columbia will represent Canada at the Little League World Series after beating the Ancaster Cardinals of Ontario 13-1 in the Canadian championship on Saturday in Ancaster, Ont.
Two home runs by Lichel Hirakawa-Kao and singles from William Quito and Kristofer DeGuzman powered the Mountaineers offence, while Lucas Soper allowed just three hits in four innings.
It's the sixth-straight year a B.C. team is going to the Little League World Series, which begins Aug. 20 in Williamsport, Pa.
