Infielder Rich Aurilia reached terms Monday with the San Francisco Giants on a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Aurilia, 37, is expected to fill in at first base and third base.

The versatile veteran hit .283 with 10 home runs, 52 runs batted in and 33 runs scored in 140 games last season, his 11th in San Francisco.

His 1,200 career hits with the Giants rank sixth in franchise history.

Aurilia is a career .277 hitter with 184 HRs, 740 RBIs and 735 runs in 1,592 games over 14 MLB seasons for the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds and Giants.
