Baseball players and owners on Friday agreed to amend their drug agreement.
The decision allows for more frequent testing and eliminates the 15-day suspensions assessed in December against Kansas City Royals outfielder Jose Guillen and former Baltimore Orioles outfielder/designated hitter Jay Gibbons.
Former Mariners outfielder Jose Guillen was suspended last Dec. 6 following media reports linking him to performance-enhancing drugs.

But baseball did not heed advice from the World Anti-Doping Agency and turn drug testing over to an outside agency.
