The 30-year-old is averaging .352 with six HRs, 14 RBIs and 16 runs in 17 games this season, his second for the Blue Jays.

Glaus is a career .255 hitter with 263 HRs, 730 RBIs and 722 runs in 1,146 games over 10 MLB seasons with the Anaheim Angels, Arizona Diamondbacks and Blue Jays.

Toronto acquired the four-time all-star, along with Sergio Santos, from Arizona for Miguel Batista and Orlando Hudson on Dec. 27, 2005.

It is the fourth time that Glaus has won the weekly award, but first time as a Blue Jay.

Among the other finalists were Craig Monroe of the Detroit Tigers, Ross Gload of the Kansas City Royals, Vladimir Guerrero of the Los Angeles Angels, Hideki Matsui of the New York Yankees and C.C. Sabathia of the Cleveland Indians.
