Philip Hughes may be the arm of the future for the New York Yankees, but his luck seems mired with the rest of the Bronx Bombers.
In just his second career start, a situation brought about by injuries to the Yankees' pitching staff, Hughes took a no-hitter into the seventh inning Tuesday against the Texas Rangers in Arlington.

With one out, Hughes, 20, grabbed his left leg after a pitch to Mark Teixeira. Checked by a worried manager Joe Torre and the training staff, Hughes was removed in favour of Mike Myers.
The Yankees were leading 9-0 at the time and went on to win 10-1.
A Hank Blalock double in the bottom of the eighth broke up what would have been a combined no-hit bid.
New York's starting pitching has been decimated this season.
Carl Pavano (right forearm stiffness) and Mike Mussina (strained left hamstring) are still on the disabled list, while the club has just welcomed Chien-Ming Wong (strained right hamstring) back off the DL.
Hughes (1-1) made his major-league debut last week in a loss at home to the Toronto Blue Jays.
