Ryan Ludwick

Ludwick won't be back until mid-August after surgery to repair torn cartilage in the shoulder.

Ludwick says he'll wear the sling for two more weeks. He'll miss at least the first half of the season. Cincinnati's cleanup hitter hurt the shoulder while sliding into third base during the season opener.
