The Pirates have already settled on veteran Garrett Jones as the starter at first base, and Casey McGehee can fill in at either corner infield spot and Josh Harrison has solidified a role as a utility player. That leaves very little wiggle room for Hague if he wants to be on the roster when the Pirates open the season on Thursday at home against the Phillies.
