Darvish needed a career-high 130 pitches to get through eight innings in the Texas Rangers' 10-4 win over the Detroit Tigers on Thursday.

Darvish, who allowed four runs and seven hits, retired 15 of the final 16 Tigers he faced, including 10 straight. He improved to 5-0 over his last six starts.
Manager Ron Washington was not about to question himself Friday over Darvish's recent workload. Especially since Darvish felt fine after throwing a career-high 130 pitches Thursday night against the Detroit Tigers.

Washington said Darvish felt fine Friday and went through his normal exercise routine. Darvish's next scheduled start is Tuesday against Oakland.
Darvish improved to 6-1 in Saturday's 8-7 win at Houston.

Darvish yielded three hits and three runs, leaving after the seventh with an 8-3 lead. In his previous outing against the Astros, he came within one out of pitching a perfect game at Houston on April 2. He struck out eight.
Darvish gave up three runs over seven innings - including two homers for the second time in his two major league season - but he also struck out 14 batters for the second time this year in Texas' 4-3 win over Boston on Sunday.

Darvish's 72 strikeouts lead baseball and he's averaging 14.2 per nine innings.
Darvish wasn't quite as dominant Tuesday but still struck out nine while giving up four runs and seven hits over six innings in Texas' 10-6 win over Chicago.

Darvish (5-1, 2.33 ERA) hadn't given up more than six hits or three runs before Tuesday but has 58 strikeouts in 38 2-3 innings.
Darvish (4-1) allowed three hits over six scoreless innings, struck out 11 and lowered his ERA to 1.65 after getting staked to an 11-0 lead in Wednesday's 11-3 win over the Angels.

It was the right-hander's 11th double-digit strikeout performance in 34 major league starts.
Darvish had his 10th career 10-strikeout game, in his 33rd start in the major leagues, and the Rangers had a six-run inning that doubled their previous highest-scoring frame of the year in a 7-0 win over the Seattle Mariners on Friday night.

Darvish had last started the previous Friday night at Seattle, when he gave up three runs in the first inning of a 3-1 loss. The Rangers had planned in advance to skip the Japanese ace's scheduled start at the Chicago Cubs because of the cool weather - and the game that would have been his turn to pitch ended up being rained out anyway.
Darvish was on the short end of a 3-1 loss to the M's on Friday.
