Cain yielded two runs and four hits over seven innings in the Giants' 4-2 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Cain (3-2, 5.13 ERA) also walked two batters but didn't surrender a home run after giving up three while allowing six runs in his last start.

Cain pitched eight strong innings in the Giants' 8-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Friday night.

Cain (2-2, 5.04 ERA) allowed three hits, including Brian McCann's two-run homer, and added an RBI single during a six-run rally in the fourth inning. Cain is 2-0 with a 1.76 ERA in his first two starts this month.

Cain pitched into the eighth inning to end the longest winless-streak of his career, and Hunter Pence accounted for all of the scoring in the Giants 4-3 victory over the Dodgers on Sunday night.

Cain, who pitched six shutout innings against Los Angeles on opening day, gave up one run and five hits in 7 1-3 innings and allowed only one runner past second base to win for the first time since Sept. 26, 2012. He left to a standing ovation from the AT&T Park crowd after issuing a one-out walk in the eighth, then watched from the dugout as five relievers teamed for the final five outs.

Cain bounced back from a rough start his last time out and tossed seven strong innings in a 4-3 loss to Chicago on Friday.

Cain, who had allowed nine runs in his previous outing, gave up two runs on seven hits to lower his ERA to 5.94.
