Chris Young, Mets finalize 1-year, $7.25M contract

Outfielder Chris Young has finalized a $7.25 million, one-year contract with the New York Mets. The 30-year-old, who agreed to the deal last week, figures to start either in centre or a corner outfield spot.

Outfielder Chris Young has finalized a $7.25 million, one-year contract with the New York Mets.

The 30-year-old, who agreed to the deal last week, figures to start either in centre or a corner outfield spot.

He was coming off a down season with Oakland in which he hit .200 with 12 homers and 40 RBIs after the Athletics acquired him from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
