Usain Bolt destroyed the world records in both the 100 and 200 metres last month in Berlin. (Alessandro Della Bella/Associated Press)World champion Usain Bolt and American Tyson Gay won't be clashing at the final meet of the Golden League season Friday in Brussels.
Bolt, who destroyed the world marks at both the 100 and 200 metres during the world championships last month, has opted to only run in the 200.
Gay, meanwhile, said Tuesday he would take part in the 100, but a lingering groin injury will prevent him from competing against Bolt in the 200.
After losing to the Jamaican in the 100 at the worlds in Berlin, Gay dropped out of the 200, citing a nagging groin.
Bolt broke his own records in Berlin, with times of 9.58 in the 100 and 19.19 in the 200.
