Alexandra Martincek of Toronto delivered a polished performance to win her second consecutive rhythmic gymnastics all-around title on Sunday at the Canadian gymnastics championships in Hamilton.

Martincek won on three of the four apparatus in the women's senior competition to finish with a score of 91.225 points in a field of eight competitors.

Demetra Mantcheva of Vancouver was the runner-up for the second straight year with a score of 90.875, and Elena Gouzenkova of Toronto was third at 83.475.

In the team trampoline final, three-time Olympian Karen Cockburn of Toronto led Ontario to the women's title, while Quebec finished first in the men's event.

The team tumbling event had Alex Seifert of Calgary leading Alberta to the gold medal in the men's event, while Ontario edged B.C. for first place in the women's competition.

In double mini trampoline, Alberta finished first in both the men's and women's team events.

In the novice all around competition, Lourance Agla and Alexandra Fomina, both of Montreal, finished 1-2 and Hannah Parry of Edmonton was third.

One of the judges for the competition was five-time Canadian champion Alexandra Orlando, who retired following the Beijing Olympics as Canada's best-ever rhythmic gymnast.
