Canadian Michelle Kelly appeared to have captured a silver medal in a women's World Cup skeleton event Thursday in Calgary.

Kelly, from Fort St. John, B.C., finished second in the season-opening race, but was disqualified after the race because her sled was 200 grams overweight.
