Brydon of Fernie, B.C., was seventh ahead of Wednesday's women's race, the first event of the World Cup finals. Janyk of Whistler, B.C., was 14th.
Fabienne Suter of Switzerland, who hasn't topped the World Cup podium this season after three victories in the previous two years, led Tuesday's practice.
The next two fastest skiers mirrored the results of the Vancouver Olympics downhill: Julia Mancuso of the United States in second, and Elisabeth Goergl of Austria in third.
After the downhill, the women also race the super-G, the giant slalom and the slalom, with each win worth 100 points.
Lindsey Vonn finished fourth in training. The American has a chance to claim the overall World Cup title for the third straight season, holding a 245 point lead over Maria Riesch of Germany.
Vonn, who won the Vancouver downhill, is still nursing a sore right shin and a broken finger on her right hand. She bounced back from tough outings in subsequent Olympic races with a win and second-place finish last week in World Cup races in Switzerland.
Riesch, two-time gold medallist from Vancouver and the closest to Vonn in the overall World Cup standings, was 12th in training on Tuesday.
Guay of Mont-Tremblant, Que., was seventh in the men's practice run, while Osborne-Paradis of North Vancouver was 14th.
Guay shook off the disappointment of just missing the podium on two occasions at the Olympics by taking the super-G in Norway on Sunday.
Austrians Hans Grugger and Mario Scheiber led the men's practice run, followed by Andrej Sporn of Slovenia. The Austrians will be hoping to end the season with a victory and prevent a shutout for the first time since 1991-92.
The men's overall title is still up for grabs, with Benjamin Raich of Austria leading Carlo Janka of Switzerland by 46 points.
Osborne-Paradis is currently fourth in the downhill standings, with Guay third in the super-G standings.
CBCSports.ca will stream the men's and women's downhills live on Wednesday morning.
