Two Canadians will compete in the women's three-metre springboard diving final on Tuesday at the world aquatics championships in Rome.

Jennifer Abel of Laval, Que., qualified second in Monday's semifinal with 351.65 points, while Emilie Heymans of St-Lambert, Que., finished 10th, with 310.30.

Guo Jingjing topped the field with 368.10 points. Chinese teammate He Zi was third (351.45).

Guo has won the three-metre springboard discipline at the last two Olympics and the last four worlds.

Local favourite Tania Cagnotto of Italy was fourth and also qualified for Tuesday's final.
