Glasgow's Commonwealth Games chief quits
The chief organizer for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow has quit after breaking rules on gifts.
The organizers said Monday that John Scott failed to declare an "offer" he accepted from a potential games supplier in a breach of policy.
Organizing committee chairman Robert Smith says Scott made an "error of judgment" and the board accepted the resignation.
Chief operating officer David Grevemberg will take temporary charge of planning for the games.
