One year after blowing an 3-0 Eastern Conference semifinal series lead to the Flyers, the Boston Bruins got their just dues with a 5-1 rout of the Flyers, sweeping last year's Stanley Cup runner-up out of the playoffs.

Sergei Bobrovsky carried the mail for Philadelphia in the season but was banished after a poor start to Round 1. With the Flyers down 3-0 in games to Boston, it could be time for him stake a claim that he can be the man in the future.

t came in the first two shifts of Game 3 as the Bruins scored twice in 63 seconds to stun the Flyers, en route to a 5-1 shelling.

Boston is now up 3-0 in this Eastern Conference semi-final series just like they were last year when the Flyers became the first Flyer team to overcome that deficit to win a series.

"We knew they would come out strong," Danny Briere said. "That was the game, right there."

Flyers' Carter likely to return; Pronger out

All signs seem to point to Jeff Carter coming back into the Flyers' lineup tonight for Game 3 against the Bruins on Wednesday night (CBC, CBCSports.ca, 7 p.m. ET).

Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas owns the Philadelphia Flyers at this point. Don't mention the 3-0 hold the Flyers climbed out of last against Boston. That was against Tuukka Rask.

Thomas, JVR shine in Game 2

Simply a fabulous performance from two warriors in Game 2 of the Flyers-Bruins Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Tim Thomas had 52 saves for the Bruins.

James van Riemsdyk was triple shifted for the Flyers, scored two goals, and was everywhere on the ice in 28 minutes of play - most by any Flyer forward - during a 3-2  Bruins win in overtime.

Start to finish, this was a superb hockey that had to make Lord Stanley proud.

Bruins' Marchand more than a pest

Grinding Boston forward Brad Marchand did it all in the Bruins' 7-3 series-opening win in Philadelphia, scoring a pair of goals, adding an assist, and goading Flyers defenceman Chris Pronger into a slashing penalty in the first period.

"I think Brad has gotten much better ... at being able to ride that fine line," Boston coach Claude Julien said.

Bruins' Krejci finds his game

David Krejci looked a little frustrated in the Montreal series for the Boston Bruins. Even though his line had a couple of overtime goals.

Last year, you could see he was lost against the Flyers. As in out for the final four games of the Eastern Conference semi-finals with a broken wrist.

Krejci seemed to make up for that in Saturday's 7-3 rout of the Flyers in Game 1 with a pair of goals while his line with Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton had six points.
