After a full season off from the NHL, the agent for Tim Thomas says his client is gauging interest in a return to the league. If the sometimes controversial, always entertaining goaltender does decide to come back, here's a list of things we can look forward to.
After a full season off from the NHL, the agent for Tim Thomas says his client is gauging interest in a return to the league. If the sometimes controversial, always entertaining goaltender does decide to come back, here's a list of things we can look forward to.

1. A devoted member of the goaltender's union

Despite forgetting to compliment his 2011 Stanley Cup final counterpart Roberto Luongo, Thomas said he sympathized with his fellow masked men:

2. Cross-border stopping

After a less-than-stellar welcome from the crowd gathered to watch the 2012 All-Star Game fantasy draft in Ottawa, Thomas stole the show from hometown hero Daniel Alfredsson by robbing his All-Star teammates Henrik and Daniel Sedin:

3. The right to bare arms and fists

The Montreal-Boston rivalry was augmented by the presence of Thomas in net, and one can only hope he finds a good rival to spar with if he comes back to the NHL:

4. The right to protect private property

The blue ice is his home, so stay off his lawn, Nathan Gerbe!

You too, Henrik Sedin:

Don't touch my stuff, Alex Burrows:

5. The separation of athlete & person

Taking a page out of the Macho Man's playbook, Tim Thomas set the Boston media straight about the differences between Tim Thomas the goalie and Tim Thomas the "INDIVIDUAL."

So now that you know (or remember) what we can expect, which team do you think would be the right fit for Thomas's unique personality if he decides to come back?
