It was an insane game to cap off an insane playoff series, but full credit to the Maple Leafs, who no one figured would force the Bruins to Game 7.

Boston Bruins 5, Toronto Maple Leafs 4 (OT)

On-Ice: Are you kidding me?! This was an insane game to cap off an insane series. Zdeno Chara is an absolute beast. All the injuries to the Bruins blue-line had him playing a thousand minutes. Seriously. OK, not too seriously. But full credit to the Maple Leafs. No one thought they'd take it to a Game 7, except for my crazy neighbour Gus. It was so touching to see Ben Scrivens skate right to James Reimer at the end of the game and give him words of encouragement. This is a goalie tandem that really cares about each other. What a shame when they split them up because you know they're going to trade one.

Off-Ice: A picture was tweeted out of a guy at Game 7... reading a book. I. Am. Speechless. I'm going to tell myself that guy had homework and decided to multi-task, in which case, I lay full blame on the teacher.

New York Rangers 5, Washington Capitals 0

On-Ice: OK, I'm now more than convinced that it means diddly-squat to finish first in the Southeast Division. The Capitals have finished first in five of the last six years and that means what? When it mattered, Alexander Ovechkin went bye-bye. I really find this baffling. Bruce Boudreau, Dale Hunter and now Adam Oates have failed to get this team past the second round. Blow it up? Just sayin'.

Off-Ice: This is the first time ever that the Rangers have won a Game 7 on the road. Henrik Lundqvist, you are exceptional. I will forgive you if you decide to go bananas on your big guns for totally misfiring in the opening round.
