Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist was calm and composed in out-waiting Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford for a spectacular finish in the second period of Game 3 on Monday.
If patience is a virtue, Gustav Nyquist must be a man of high morals if Monday night is any indication.

The Red Wings forward was calm and composed in out-waiting Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford for a spectacular finish in Detroit's 3-1 win in Game 3.

At 7:49 of the second period, the 23-year-old took a flip pass in the neutral zone and eluded Chicago defenceman Brent Seabrook with a nifty inside-out deke as the blue-liner made a futile attempt to swipe at the puck.

Nyquist then had just one person to beat. Crawford bit on a mini shot fake and the Detroit winger casually deposited the puck in the gaping net to give his squad a 1-0 lead.

He wasn't the only Red Wings forward to score a sweet goal. Centre Pavel Datsyuk showed off his wrist shot with a top-shelf snipe in the third period.
