With the 2013 NHL season quickly coming to a close, we look back at the performances of the seven young players we followed through the lockout, training camp and the shortened season to ask you: Who among them scored the best highlight-reel goal?
With the 2013 NHL season quickly coming to a close, we continue to examine the performances of the seven young players we followed through the lockout, training camp and the shortened season to ask you: Who among them scored the best highlight-reel goal?

Presenting, in no particular order, our three finalists for "The Package: Goal of the Year" for your consideration. Watch the highlights and cast your vote at the bottom of the page!

Nail Yakupov -- Edmonton Oilers

Lining up for a face-off with just over 10 seconds remaining in the third period and the Oilers trailing 1-0, Yakupov uses some nifty hand-eye coordination to stuff home a timely goal and perform a much-discussed celebration:



Nazem Kadri -- Toronto Maple Leafs

Kadri recorded his first NHL hat trick on Feb. 28, completed it with this spectacular individual effort in which he slices up the Islanders' defence and beats Evgeni Nabokov:



Mika Zibanejad -- Ottawa Senators

Zibanejad scores his first Hockey Night In Canada goal thanks to a pretty give-and-go play against the Toronto Maple Leafs that showcases Zibanejad's soft hands:
