While going down to block Washington Capitals defenceman Mike Green's shot, the puck shattered Nate Thompson's visor right off his helmet. Sporting a cut above his right eye, Thompson was seen leaving the ice with blood trickling down the side of his face.
You'll never hear Nate Thompson complain about visors.

On Saturday night, his protected him from a serious injury.

While going down to block Washington Capitals defenceman Mike Green's shot, the puck shattered Thompson's visor right off his helmet. Sporting a cut above his right eye, Thompson was seen leaving the ice with blood trickling down the side of his face.

However, Thompson returned to the game - thanks to his visor.
