The Montreal Canadiens may have to do without the services of Colby Armstrong for a while.

Armstrong, a solid fourth-line player for the Habs this season, was involved in a leg-to-leg collision with Carolina Hurricanes right wing Patrick Dwyer Monday night at the Bell Centre.

The hit happened at 15:13 of the third period as the two unassuming players collided hard in the Hurricane end.

Armstrong, who was favouring his right leg, needed assistance to the dressing room and didn't return to the game.

The Habs, who won the game 4-1, would only say that Armstrong suffered a lower body injury.
