Despite the scrutiny Nazem Kadri has faced during his time in Toronto, the Maple Leafs' first- round pick in 2009 has left a lasting mark... well, at least until someone on the Leafs' farm club notches five assists in a single game.

Despite the scrutiny Nazem Kadri has faced during his time in Toronto, the Maple Leafs' first round pick in 2009 has left a lasting mark... well, at least until someone on the the Leafs' farm club notches five assists in a single game.

Kadri tallied four helpers en route to a 6-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday, tying a Marlies franchise record.

That performance, plus a goal and three more assists in two other contests, resulted in an eight-point week that helped the 22-year-old forward earn AHL player of the week honours on Monday.

Despite the ample amount of assists (which must make Leafs management happy, seeing as how they're looking for solid options at centre), Kadri proves he knows how to put the puck in the back of the net by himself.

Highlight: Kadri's patience pays off:

It was a nice boost in production for Kadri, who'd only been rewarded with three assists for his efforts in the first nine games this season with the Marlies (9-5-1), who sit fourth in the Western Conference.
