With the NHL moving closer to cancelling more games, CBCSports.ca will continue to give fans a voice.
Each day we offer one fan's take on the lockout from the posts we've received on Facebook, Twitter and the comments sections on CBCSports.ca.
Friday's comment comes from a fan who wants NHL commissioner Gary Bettman to negotiate or call the season off as these sporadic breaks in the talks aren't helping anyone.
Backdraft1: "This is a lockout Gary. It's your bus, you can either drive it off a cliff or cut a deal. But don't sit there with your arms crossed refusing to negotiate and then stand in front of a microphone saying how disappointed you are. No one is ever going to make a lasting deal doing that. Even if the owners succeed in screwing the players this time, we're in for another lockout/strike on the next expiry date, or maybe before. And that'll be sooner than later. The players won't sign a 10 year CBA (which is what's needed) that totally screws them the way the league wants to."
