Today's featured commenter believes the current discussions are futile and that the season's drop-dead date is American Thanksgiving weekend.
With the NHL officially cancelling games through Nov. 30, plus the Winter Classic, CBCSports.ca has been helping give fans a voice.

"I think we are done. The discussions are becoming increasingly futile and both sides know that if there is a no deal by the American Thanksgiving, that there will be no season. It will take several years for the NHL to recover."
