We've heard many fans perspectives through 19 days of an NHL lockout, but today's is a bit different. See what a couple from Europe have to say about how the cancellation of games affects them.
With the NHL lockout into its 20th day, CBCSports.ca wants to help give fans a voice.

So until the game we love returns, we'll highlight one fan's take on the lockout each day from the posts we've received on Facebook, Twitter and the comments sections on CBCSports.ca.

Here is Friday's Fan Comment of the Day from Nic Guest via Twitter and Facebook:

"So we saved up for a big holiday to Toronto to watch NHL. We are huge fans of Hockey in England and have always wanted to watch NHL live. Now my Girlfriend's British team is the Coventry Blaze, who the late Wade Belak came to play for during the last lock out, this trip was also to be something of a Hockey homage for her.

I am a big fan of the Flyers and my Girlfriend supports the Devils. Imagine how thrilled we were when the fixtures came out and we found that our planned dates of the end of November intersected with us being able to watch both the Flyers and the Devils in Toronto!

We booked and paid for our flights and hotels in July with trips to both Buffalo and Ottawa to catch other games (hotels in each city). All in, it has probably cost us around $3500 without tickets.

I would like to personally thank Mr Bettman for ruining our dream Holiday. Come on Gary, why don't you do something useful for once and pick up 57% of the cost of our holiday. You can afford that can't you? If you are really good, I may only ask for 51% in about 2 months time."
