With the NHL lockout now into its ninth day, many people are calling for Gary Bettman's job - and his head. But one fan thinks the NHL commissioner doesn't deserve the blame. Check out Monday's Fan's Comment of the Day to find out who you should be pointing the finger at.
With the NHL lockout now in its ninth day, CBCSports.ca wants to help give fans a voice.

So until the game we love returns, we'll highlight one fan's take on the lockout each day from the posts we've received on Facebook, Twitter and the comments sections on CBCSports.ca.

Here's Monday's Fan Comment of the Day from CBCSports.ca user PurHockeyFan:

"Why is everyone blaming Bettman for this Lock-out... He is not the guy who is offering these over paid players millions to play for any team... He's not the guy making players accept millions to play for any team either... He's just like any other CEO of a corporation, being paid to much money for doing just about nothing...

As for the lock out, put the blame on the people who really are to blame and that starts with the owners offering those big bucks... I don't really blame the players for accepting the big bucks, However, I do blame them for thinking they should get the bigger share of profits while collecting those big bucks...

As for us fans saying we will stop going and watching the games!!! Hmm, I seam to recall us saying those exact words back in 2005 during that lock out, but we went back to the rinks and we continued to watch... This is what the owners and players are counting on, again!!!!!
