With the latest installment of the NHL lockout into its fifth day, one fan reveals how he's spent his time and how hockey lockouts have affected his life in a positive way.
With an NHL lockout now a reality, CBCSports.ca not only wants to help guide you through the labour rhetoric, but we also want you to have a voice.

So until the game we love returns, we will highlight one fan's take on the labour dispute in the NHL each day.

Here's Thursday's comment from a CBCSports.ca user who goes by the handle NEMYAB:

"I have not watched a full game since the first lock out. Sick of the whole thing. I have become a lot more active, lost a bit of weight and generally enjoy life more. Catch the highlights and read the paper to keep up. I honestly don't miss it a bit."

Want to share your opinion? Tweet me @JordanShifman or post a comment to our Facebook page at Facebook.com/CBCSports and come back every day to see what fans like you had to say.

And if you're looking for a way to participate in sport during the lockout, check out Sports Day in Canada, which is a national celebration of sport that takes place on Sept. 29.
