Brendan Shanahan may have a busy Monday.

At least two plays on Sunday night may deserve a closer look by the NHL's disciplinarian, the first being an 'illegal check to the head' penalty on Jared Boll for a reverse elbow to the face of the Flames' Alex Tanguay that would have made Lex Luger proud.

At least two plays on Sunday night may deserve a closer look by the NHL's disciplinarian, the first being an 'illegal check to the head' penalty on Jared Boll for a reverse elbow to the face of the Flames' Alex Tanguay that would have made Lex Luger proud.

Boll served a two-minute minor, while Tanguay left the game but returned to action later.

Meanwhile, in Winnipeg...



That hit on Andreas Nodl cost the Jets' Zach Bogosian his right to play the rest of a very important game against the Hurricanes. Bogosian was tossed, given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for charging.
