Peverley will miss three weeks after undergoing a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat.

General manager Jim Nill said on the second day of the team's three-day training camp in Fort Worth on Friday that the 31-year-old Peverley might miss the first couple of games of the regular season. Dallas opens against Florida on Oct. 3. Dallas acquired Peverley, center Tyler Seguin and defenseman Ryan Button in a seven-player deal that sent Loui Eriksson and three prospects to the Bruins.
