The New York Giants have signed first-round draft pick offensive tackle Justin Pugh and his Syracuse teammate, Nassib, a fourth-rounder.
Nassib was the 110th overall selection. The Orange ranked 17th nationally in offense last season at 476 yards per game, with Nassib averaging 289 in the air. He set school records with 3,749 yards and 26 TD passes in 2012.
The New York Giants have moved up in the fourth round of the NFL draft and taken Nassib. In order to take Nassib, the Giants sent their fourth-round pick (No. 116) and their sixth-round pick (No. 187) to the Arizona Cardinals to grab a young player who might be the heir apparent to Eli Manning somewhere down the road.
Manning has not missed a start in his last 135 games. He has led the Giants to two Super Bowl wins and was named the MVP twice. Nassib completed 791 of 1,312 passes for 9,990 yards and 70 touchdown passes with the Orange.
