Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert, who was out with a dislocated left shoulder, played for the first time since being acquired from New York on Jan. 5 in Friday's 129-90 win over Charlotte.

Shumpert, averaging 9.3 points per game this season, had not played since Dec. 12

Shumpert has a dislocated left shoulder, and his next game will come with the Cavaliers after he was part of a three-team trade Monday.

Shumpert is day-to-day.

Shumpert left the Knicks' game against the Celtics on Friday night with a dislocated left shoulder and will not return.

Shumpert collided with Boston's Jeff Green late in the second quarter and went down to the floor screaming in pain before being helped to the locker room.

Shumpert scored a season-high 21 with eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals in Tuesday's loss to the Bucks.

Shumpert is quietly having a nice season for the struggling Knicks, averaging career highs in virtually every category with 13.2 points per game on 52.3 percent shooting. He's 18 of 34 from 3-point range.

Shumpert is returning to the New York Knicks starting lineup Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks after sitting out a game with a right hip contusion.

Knicks coach Derek Fisher said Shumpert felt good and would not have a minutes restriction. The 6-foot-5 Shumpert is New York's second-leading scorer, averaging 12.4 points.

Shumpert had 18 points for the Knicks on Monday.

Shumpert made 8 of 12 shots for the second straight game. You should give him a shot if he continues this torrid pace.
