Lawson missed the Denver Nuggets' first practice after the All-Star break and coach Brian Shaw is looking into the reason why before handing out any sort of punishment.

Shaw said travel issues may have caused the absence. He also said he might hold Lawson out of the starting lineup Friday.

Lawson had 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting in a 124-114 loss to Oklahoma City on Monday night, the Denver Nuggets' sixth in a row.

The point guard is averaging 21.7 points and shooting 59.0 percent in his last three games. He went 5 of 7 from 3-point range Monday.

Lawson turned in solid fantasy numbers Friday.

Lawson had 20 points and nine assists as he made sure he produced on a night when the Nuggets were blown out in their 12th loss in 13 games. That's the mark of a true fantasy pro.

Lawson finally got back on track with 23 points against Boston on Wednesday.

Lawson had averaged just 7.3 points on 25.7 percent shooting over the previous four games. Hopefully Wednesday's performance is a sign of things to come.

Lawson had another ugly night from the field in Thursday's loss to Memphis, scoring nine points on 3-of-11 shooting.

Lawson had been 2 of 12 for five points a night earlier at New Orleans, but at least redeemed himself with 13 assists. He recorded only six helpers Thursday.

Denver police say they have arrested Lawson for investigation of driving under the influence. In a statement, the police said Lawson was stopped after an officer saw a car being driven fast and carelessly early Friday.

The Nuggets said the team was aware of the arrest and would have no further comment.

Lawson had 19 points Monday.

Lawson faces the Spurs next. He is averaging 9.6 points on 29.6 percent shooting in his last five games - all losses - versus the Spurs.

Lawson scored 28 points in Denver's loss to Toronto on Sunday.

The sixth-year point guard has now reached the 20-point mark eight times this season.

Lawson had 24 points and 13 assists in Tuesday's 105-103 loss to Portland.

Lawson has posted double-digit assists in six straight games, a stretch during which he's averaged 12.5. He's second in the NBA with 10.3 dimes per game.

Lawson scored the go-ahead basket with 29.6 seconds left and finished with 15 points and 12 assists for his seventh double-double in eight games in Monday's win at Utah.

Lawson is averaging 16.2 points and a career-high 10.1 assists per game.
