Minnesota will call up Milone from Triple-A Rochester to start Monday at Houston after trading Kevin Correia to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Milone was acquired from the Athletics on the July 31 trade deadline after he requested to be moved following a demotion to the minors. Milone went 6-0 with a 2.62 ERA over 11 starts with the A's when he was sent down July 5 following the trade for Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel from the Cubs.

The Oakland Athletics have traded Milone to the Minnesota Twins for outfielder Sam Fuld. The A's announced the deal Thursday morning before the trade deadline.

Milone requested a trade given his recent success and demotion to Triple-A Sacramento. The left-hander went 6-0 with a 2.62 ERA over 11 starts when he was sent down July 5 following the trade for Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel from the Cubs.

The Oakland Athletics optioned Milone to Triple-A Sacramento before Saturday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The move clears the way for right-hander Jeff Samardzija to start Sunday's game against the Blue Jays. Milone, who threw six innings in Friday's 1-0 extra-inning win over the Blue Jays, was 6-3 with a 3.55 ERA and .245 opponents' batting average in 16 starts.

Milone improved to 6-3 on Sunday.

Milone allowed two earned runs in seven innings to win his sixth consecutive decision, a career best. He faces the Jays and slugger Edwin Encarnacion in his next outing.

Milone was touched up for five runs and eight hits over five innings in Oakland's 7-6 loss to Boston on Sunday, though he didn't receive a decision.

Milone had posted a 2.31 ERA over his eight previous starts.

Milone was fantastic in Friday's 8-0 win over Washington.

Milone allowed two hits and struck out seven over eight dominant innings to earn his first win. He lowered his ERA from 5.86 to 4.54 in the process.

Milone fell to 0-3 on Saturday.

Milone was tagged for six runs in four-plus innings.

Milone didn't record a decision Tuesday against Texas.

Milone was charged with three runs and five hits over six innings of work, bumping his ERA up slightly to 4.24.

Milone pitched well Wednesday.

Milone allowed three runs in six innings and will likely face Texas next.

Milone lost his first start of the season, giving up five runs - three earned - and 10 hits over five innings Friday against Seattle.

The one saving grace for Milone in his first start was a respectable seven strikeouts.
