Hudson says he will visit specialist Dr. James Andrews and, if necessary, will undergo a second Tommy John surgery. The right-hander had the first such operation last July, then re-tore the elbow ligament during a rehab start for Double-A Mobile on Tuesday.

Hudson, speaking before Sunday's game against San Francisco, said he initially was 50-50 on whether to try again after the latest injury but tried to stop feeling sorry for himself. He said finally he decided he "couldn't look" at himself in the mirror five years from now if he didn't at least try to make a comeback.
