
The one-hour, "Spelling Night in Canada" special aired this past Sunday, April 1, featuring the Postmedia Canspell National Spelling Bee finals.
After many months of hard work, training and practicing, the competition boiled down to one word: "V-I-N-D-A-L-O-O". 12-year-old Jennifer Mong from St. John's got it right! Winning the first prize of $7500 and taking home the Canspell Cup.
Second place went to 12-year-old Mignon Tsai, of Abbotsford, British Columbia, while 11-year-old Zhongtian Wang from Windsor, Ontario walked away with third place.
