This brand new year marks the centenary of Marshall McLuhan's birth. Events are planned here in Canada and internationally, to celebrate McLuhan's legacy, and to think about what his work means today, as we explore digital culture and technology. Personally, I've been re-reading Understanding Media, a book that's by turns brilliant and bewildering, and of course, incredibly prescient. Do you have thoughts on the meaning of McLuhan in 2011? How would you like to see Spark cover the centenary? Please leave your comments below.
