We were saddened to learn that Clifford Nass passed away over the weekend due to a heart attack. He was a professor of communication and director of the Communication Between Humans and Interactive Media Lab at Stanford University. The University has published this account in the Stanford Daily.

Clifford was a guest on Spark a number of times, discussing human-computer interaction, distraction, and autonomous vehicles. He had helped us most recently by answering questions about gender and robots for Spark episode 230. He was very generous with his time and his expertise, and one of our favourite guests. Our condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

--Nora.
