What to do with your wet cell phone

This week on Spark, Nora tried putting a wet cell phone in dry rice to save it from a watery grave.

If you're not into rice, Kevin Haffenden from Bongo Wireless offers the following steps:

  1. Remove the battery immediately. Do not try and power the phone on.
  2. Use a hair dryer on the phone. Try to dry it out as much as possible.
  3. Wait. Let it sit and dry naturally for several days.
