One of the coolest adventures in modern sculpture I've come across lately is the work of Theo Jansen. He makes kinetic sculptures: enormous objects that look a bit like insect or animal skeletons, but which move when they are outdoors, propelled by the wind. They're beautiful, but they also have an uncanny quality that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Check it out!
