When we were putting together this week’s interview with tech visionary, Linda Stone, we started thinking a lot about breath.
If you’ve listened to the interview already, you know that Linda’s work these days focuses on what she calls email apnea. When we’re interacting with all the screens in our lives: computer screen, mobile device, etc, we tend to stop breathing, or have really shallow breaths. As I’ve mentioned on the show, I’ve been doing yoga for a long time, about 20 years, and we thought, hey, why not include some yoga breathing techniques with the podcast, so when you’re finished with all that email apnea, you can relax and breathe. Are you game?
You can listen to the breathing exercises below, or download the MP3. [runs 3:13]

As I wrote on Twitter, "If, like many Canadians, you have a huge voice crush on Nora, then this audio will slay you."
Wow, I thought I was the only one with a huge "voice crush" on Nora Young. Her program is brilliant too.
You sure made me stop and think about our electronic age. We need to master technology and not let it master us. We are losing our ability to use our brain in creative ways and solve interpersonal problems.
Keep up the good work.
I found this piece to be very good and thought-provoking. The breathing, the attitude towards technologies, everything… Thanks
that breathing technique really helped i feel relaxed and yeah at my my school all the kids hate reading and thinking creatively all they do is abuse the use of technology.i always ask my teacher if we could write on paper that way the kids are not using free computer time in school time. there's at least 4 out of 9 that are straight working. very good podcast

Thanks for the perspective, Sophia!
After trying out a couple different breathing exercise recordings, Nora's is the one that works the best (maybe because it's so straight-forward?). Anyway, if anyone is keeping track – count me in as someone who would want more of this.
If I didn’t have a ‘voice-crush’ on Nora before, I certainly do now.
Oh, and I like the breathing part too.
She does have a particularly calm voice
Hallo Nora,
I heard only half of your today's (FARM/Spark) programme. But you may be interested to know that here in New Brunswick we have one farm with computer-managed almost everything in a beautifully designed cow palace with free range, water-beds, computer-dried manure-bedding, automatic feeding, milking and insemination. Neither flies nor bulls ever see those cows who even may queue for a neck rub!
When I visited this place during 2010 Open Farm day, I was absolutely fascinated.
