It took him a few months to patch this and six other videos together, but Kutiman has created something of a stir on YouTube and throughout the web.  By scouring the site for dozens or hundreds of seemingly unrelated bits of music, he's somehow managed to stitch together a debut album's worth of music that might rival the works of any video scratcher, or beat sampling pioneer.

When his tracks hit the web earlier this month, we enjoyed one of those moments when we can collectively take a step back...  and have a look at what kind of grown up our Interweb baby is growing into.  What this 27 year-old music lover from Tel Aviv has done, quite simply, is redrawn well-worn concepts of collaboration, musicianship, celebrity, maybe even copyright itself.
