Listened to Jamie Livingston’s ‘Polaroid a Day’ project portion of today’s episode.
Checked out the website containing the images. Sublime and haunting.
Thank you!
Hello,
I must admit, I’ve loved your program since I discovered how good CBC radio was 3 years ago. I’m 28 years old and living in Victoria, and my job allows me to listen to CBC a fair amount.
Today I had to pull over the delivery truck on the Malahat Highway north of Victoria, as your piece on the Polaroid of the day was overwhelming. I don’t think I’ve ever been so moved by a story I’ve heard yet. I hope somewhere he knows the struggles and joys he had during his life played out on those photos will last forever, and he’s inspired myself (and probably many others) to document every day as he did.
Thank you for the great program.
Adam
I also heard the Polaroid a Day story when it was first broadcast and was struck by how sad and yet how innovative such an undertaking was. Only on CBC will you hear stories like this; thanks Nora.
