On Wednesday we’ll be interviewing Alex Steffen, the executive editor of Worldchanging.com. Worldchanging is a green blog, online magazine and a bestselling book. It covers stories about innovation, sustainability, and design.
Over the holidays I watched a lecture that Alex gave at the Pop!Tech conference in Maine in 2006. He focuses on the idea of sharing products (such as car share companies and Netflix) and dematerializing cities and businesses. He also talks about the importance of knowing the back story of your belongings–where did it come from? who made it? what was the environmental impact? Alex goes on predict that in 5 years people may be calculating their personalized carbon footprint to use as a status symbol.
Our interview is on Wednesday afternoon. Do you have a question for Alex? Take a look at his lecture, then post a question or comment at the Wiki.
