Full, unedited interview: Mitch Joel on online identity management

Play audio:

Do you ever Google yourself? I know I do. But then again, I Google everyone.

Some people call looking yourself up a “vanity search.” Mitch Joel calls it an “ego search.”

And according to a recent survey by MSN Canada and Ipsos-Reid:

a majority of Canadians believe they are conscious of their image in the public domain. Three quarters responded that they’re aware of the impact online activities can have on their image, a relationship that women (81%) are more likely to be aware of than men (70%).

Recently, Nora interviewed Mitch Joel about how Canadians manage their online identities. Parts of the interview will air on an upcoming episode of Spark, and you can listen to the full, unedited interview above, or download the mp3.

What do you think? When you search for yourself, do you like what you see?
